Private event websites and passwords
When to use a guest password, when unlisted is enough, and what stays out of Google.
Public and indexable means the event can appear in search and in our sitemap. Use this when you want guests to find the names.
Unlisted means the URL works, but we do not list it on the marketing site or in the sitemap. Share the link yourself.
A guest password shows a gate before the template. Passworded sites are never indexed, even if you forget to mark them unlisted.
Drafts 404 for the public. Preview stays in admin until you publish.
Choose privacy before you print the card. Changing a password later is fine; changing a printed URL is not.
